Meet the PRN PT and OT Staff

Karyn Michalski, BS/MS, OTR/L
Karyn graduted with a dual Masters/Bachelor's degree in the accelerated program at D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY in 2000. Karyn worked as Director of Occupational Therapy at the Zacher Group subacute/SNF facility and as a Senior Therapist at Elderwoods Affiliates for 10 years. She joined the PRN Physical and Occupational Therapy, PLLC team in February 2012 and has been at Montgomery Park in East Amherst, NY providing OT services to the residents and community clientel in need of care. She is ceritifed in Modalitiies and her specialities include continence management, woman's health, cardiopulmonary rehab, upper extremity disabilities with a specialization in the hand, custom splinting, self-care training, wheelchair positioning/mobility training, and home safety modification.
Matthew Bala, DPT, ITPT
Matt graduated from Daemen College in 2015 with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.  After graduation, Matt recieved an employment opporunity with PRN Physical and Occupational Therapy and has been treating patient's there ever since.  He specializes in Wound Care, Orthopaedic and Neurological Assessement, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, and Fall Prevention.
Sara McKirchy, PT, DPT
Sara graduated from D’Youville College in 2015 where she received her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Immediately following graduation, Sara began working at an outpatient clinic in Grand Island, NY. She gained valuable experience working with a wide age-range patient population as well as a variety of conditions including gait and balance disorders, sports injuries, work injuries, and post-surgical conditions. In early 2017, Sara received an offer from PRN Physical and Occupational Therapy and has since been treating and caring for patients in East Amherst, NY.  She specializes in Orthopedic and Neurological Assessment, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, and Fall Prevention.
Kristen Mulone, BS, OTR/L
Kristen graduated from Worcester State University in Worcester, MA in 2001 with her Master's in Occupational Therapy.  The following year, she moved to Western New York. Kristen undertook employment with the Elderwood Associates for the next 12 years.  After her time with Elderwood, Kristen sought a position at Fox Run in Orchard Park.  In 2014, Kristen recieved a job offer from PRN Physical and Occupational Therapy and has since been caring for and treating patients in East Amherst. She specializes in incontinence management, woman's health, cardiopulmonary rehab, upper extremity disabilities with a focus in the hand, custom splinting, self-care training, wheelchair positioning/mobility training, and home safety modification.
